Height Safety Engineering uses top of the range equipment for concrete scanning and non-destructive testing (NDT). We are one of a few providers of this superior technology in the Bay of Plenty region.
Designed for non-destructive inspection, our equipment uses radio waves and electromagnetic signals to detect steel in concrete.
Our scanning service helps engineers, architects and building owners check the structural integrity of buildings before any retrofitting or renovations are carried out.
The scanning provides visual data with 2D/3D images displayed in colour allowing on the spot comprehensive analysis that includes:
• Location of reinforcing bars (including multiple layers)
• Pre and post tensioning tendons
• Location of plastic pipes, electric cables and underfloor heating
• Detect deterioration or corrosion
• Discover voids
• Determine cover depth.
With this technology we can scan concrete at depths of up to 300 millimetres to confirm building records, construction practices and identify critical variations ensuring no costly damage or delays are caused when undertaking building repairs or strengthening work.
Results can be provided onsite in real time, with the ability to record data for advanced analysis and preparation of reports.
Before undertaking any repairs or renovations contact us to concrete scan your building.
